BSS Google Authentication plugin lets your users securely log in using their Google accounts. By simplifying the registration process and speeding up sign-ins, you can significantly enhance the user experience while maintaining high account security. This modern authentication method reduces password fatigue and streamlines the journey from visitor to registered customer effortlessly.
PRE-REQUISITES
  • The plugin requires you to install the BSS Core plugin first.
INSTALLATION
  • Download the Google Authentication plugin from our store https://store.bssoln.com/
  • Go to Administration → Configuration → Local plugins
  • Upload the BSS.Core and the BSS.GoogleAuth zip files using the ‘Upload plugin or theme’ button

 

  • After uploading, reload the list of ‘plugins’ and install the ‘BSS Core’ Plugin first. Scroll down or use the search bar to find and install ‘BSS Google Authentication’ .
  • To make the plugins functional, restart the application.
CONFIGURATION
  • Go to Admin → BSS → Plugins → BSS Google Authentication → Configuration. Enter your License string and save it. Then clear cache.
  • Return to the Configuration page to set up the Google API credentials.
  • Create a project in the Google Developers Console if you haven't already.
  • Navigate to the Credentials tab and create OAuth client ID credentials. Select ‘Web Application’ as the application type.
  • Client ID & Secret key: Enter the credentials obtained from the Google Console into the respective fields.
  • Force HTTPS: Check this box to ensure all authentication links use a secure, encrypted connection (Recommended).
